These pages give the properties
and traditional uses of the oils, as well as
some interesting (we hope) extras.
The pure essences of aromatic plants have been prized
for thousands of years. There is evidence of their use
in most ancient cultures for their health-giving
properties and powerful scents. There is a tendency to
dismiss ancient cures, but they were developed through
tens of thousands of years of unrecorded human
experience. Today we know the science behind many
aromatherapy treatments, and essential oil use is
undergoing a remarkable revival. They can be used in a
relaxing, restorative massage combining smell with
touch, and whilst not a substitute for a visit to the
doctor, they can promote good health, emotional well
being and help in the treatment of many common ailments. If
it can be summed up in a single phrase it is
'Aromatherapy makes you feel good' and that somehow
makes it all worthwhile.

mixing with a base oil! Follow recipes carefully.

subject to rigorous control standards which easily
surpass E.U. standards. All essential oils are sold in 10ml or 5ml amber
bottles with dropper. Base oils are 50ml or 100ml
bottles, although some larger sizes are available.
